As our Regional Sales Director, Kathryn Cook brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to Milliman HealthIO, helping our customers solve their toughest challenges. A former clinician, she has a heart for both patients and providers. With her firsthand knowledge of the healthcare industry, Kathryn enjoys presenting creative solutions that can improve patient outcomes and reduce financial risk. She is especially pleased to be working with our team, given our goal to move from the “break-fix” model of healthcare to something more preventive and sustainable.
In addition to her role at Milliman HealthIO, Kathryn is an adjunct professor teaching courses in both graduate and doctoral programs. She has held previous positions in business development with Sound Physicians, the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute, and Kindred Healthcare. Kathryn got her start with Johnson & Johnson as a cardiovascular specialty representative.
Kathryn’s education began at the California College for the Health Sciences, where she graduated with an A.S. in Respiratory Care. She then earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business and Management from Cardinal Stritch University. Additionally, Kathryn holds a Doctorate in Health Science with a focus on population health from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.
When Kathryn isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors. She counts cooking and entertaining among her favorite activities. During her downtime, you might also find her unwinding with a good book and a glass of Pinot Noir.
