As Global Director – Market Development Luke is responsible for building a pipeline of opportunities across all geographies and distribution channels. He also coaches our sales team, developing processes and supporting our collaborative culture. Luke is energized by our goal to use data to curb rising healthcare costs. He especially appreciates the power of our product to engage people outside of the physician’s office, during the time they spend away from the healthcare system. Reaching those who suffer from chronic illness or who do not have easy access to healthcare drives Luke’s determination to create lasting, satisfied customers.
Luke began his career with Aetna over twenty years ago, where he first served as an account executive. He then held sales roles with increasing responsibility at Assurant Employee Benefits (now Sun Life Financial), Lincoln Financial Group, Voya Financial, and Principal Financial Group. Most recently, Luke was Senior Vice President of Sales at Aetna, covering their northwest and mountain territory.
Luke earned his BA in English from the University of Washington, where he also volunteers for the Alumni Association. He is an executive board member of the American Lung Association (Washington local office).
Luke is a family man who loves to get outside and enjoy the beauty of Seattle, where he is based. He, his wife, and their two children enjoy paddleboarding, fishing, mountain biking, and skiing. With their love for University of Washington football, the Knutsons are known for hosting great tailgate parties in their fully renovated 1969 Airstream.
